Class Policies and Faq’s

How many students are in a class?

In order to allow for each student to get ample attention, classes are held to a maximum of 4 students. Parties and special events can accommodate larger groups.

Classes will be rescheduled or cancelled if there are fewer than 2 students registered.

How do I pay for classes?

Class registration fees are billed via paypal invoice; class registration is secured when payment is received. Class fees are non-refundable, but can be applied to a different class with 72 hours notice.

Classes hosted by Joann Fabrics are paid through their payment system. Sharon cannot take payment for Joann classes.

Where are classes located?

Most classes are held in my home studio/classroom in Bountiful, UT.

I also teach at Joann Fabrics in Centerville, UT.

Parties and special events can be held at a location of your selection or at a third party site. My home studio cannot accommodate more than 4 students, so arrangements must be made for larger groups.

How do I register for classes or get more information?

What do I bring to class?

Students should bring basic sewing supplies (scissors, pins, sewing machine needles, bobbin, thread) and a sewing machine in good working order.

If you do not have access to a sewing machine please contact Sharon and make arrangements to borrow a machine.

What supplies are provided?

The classroom will be set up with a hot iron and ironing board.

Rulers, tape measures, and marking tools will be available for students to borrow during class time.

A serger set up with white thread is provided during Open Sew.

**Please be aware that students will be working with hot irons and sharp objects (pins, scissors, etc.). Use of the iron will be closely supervised in all kids classes. Students will assume all risk and liability for burns, cuts, and other injury.
